Do you work well in a large team environment patients where critical thinking is essential?

As a Vascular Lab Team Leader at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, you will be responsible for the daily planning, organizing, direction and controlling of the daily operation and clinical/technical practice of assigned patient care sections. Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Team Leader performs at an advanced level, assumes responsibility and accountability for patient flow (section specific)and daily staff efficiency without jeopardizing quality of care. You will demonstrate advanced knowledge, makes complex clinical/technical judgements, and is competent in their field of certification. The Team Leader will demonstrate continuous self-improvement, make effective contributions to section and serve as a role model for subordinates, students and other staff members. The Team Leader is responsible for instituting and maintaining a safe patient environment for all populations served. He/she adheres to Cedars-Sinai Health system corporate compliance plan, code of conduct, and departmental policies and procedures. The Team Leader will demonstrate a willingness to interface with advanced technology, assures compliance with monitoring activities, and recommends changes as warranted by feedback. The Team Leader demonstrates the ability to provide quality patient care and may perform procedures on the neonate, pediatric adolescent, adult and geriatric population. He/she performs all job duties with sensitivity and attention to age, developmental issues, and cultural diversity. The Team Leader effectively communicates/explains procedures based on the patient's age and makes adjustments accordingly. Additional duties include general and administrative support functions necessary for routine operations. The Team Leader assists in the interview process, performance evaluations, staffing plans and editing of KRONOS payroll system for subordinate technologists and technical extenders.

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma

License/Certification Requirements:

RVT, current BLS

Experience:

5 years experience in a senior capacity in an acute care setting preferred

Physical Demands:

standing, walking, lifting up to 25lbs, repetitive hand motions
