As part of the Epic DBA Team, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for moving application build between Epic environments using Epic’s Data Courier migration tool. Emphasis will be on supporting the Epic application and DBA teams to ensure successful build migrations. Provides technical expertise related to Data Courier administration and configuration. Executes accurate and timely build migrations, ensuring change management policies, procedures, and methodologies are followed. Performs troubleshooting and analysis related to Data Courier configuration and migrations. Participates in the development and implementation of technical standards, policies, and procedures. Works with the Epic DBA team and/or vendor to escalate and resolve issues.
Performs application build migrations using Epic’s Data Courier utility, Chronicles imports, etc.
Data Courier configuration and administration, including configuration of related Bridges interfaces and Data Courier configuration-related master files.
Performs in-depth analysis and troubleshooting of Data Courier migrations, Chronicles imports, and other miscellaneous utilities.
Coordinates, communicates, and collaborates with the Application, Change, and DBA teams to ensure accurate and successful migration of Epic build. Demonstrates ability to follow-up to implement, coordinate
and complete these responsibilities accurately within established time frame.
Provides technical expertise and direct support for the planning, coordination, upgrade, enhancement, and implementation of Data Courier and Chronicles related utilities (ETAN, import, etc.)
May participate in user groups, advisory committees and/or feedback sessions with appropriate participants to generate input and on-going support as needed. Interdisciplinary participation will be sought at appropriate phases of development and implementation.
Independently or in collaboration with others, develops user training materials and plans; leads/participates in user training.
Review and implement Data Courier related release notes as needed.
Develops accurate documentation related to Data Courier configuration, standards, policies, and procedures.
Documents and assists with change management process for technical and functional changes to systems/software/applications.
Responds promptly to customer needs.
Assures systems are designed to conform to regulatory and Corporate Compliance requirements.
Works independently or as a member of interdisciplinary teams on complex projects
Ensures that change management procedures and methodologies are implemented and followed.
•Participates in team on-call support during off-business hours
Qualification requirements and/or preferences:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
•Certification in at least one Epic module, Data Courier certification preferred.
•2+ years of analyst experience in a large and complex environment, preferably in healthcare.
•Consulting experience in healthcare IT or health information a plus.
•Must have experience with in-depth analysis and troubleshooting of Data Courier migrations and configuration.
•Knowledge of Chronicles data structures and Epic master files is required.
•Experience with Chronicles imports and ETAN’s a plus.
•Application build experience within Epic a plus.
•Strong interpersonal skills are required; able to deal effectively with diverse skill sets and personalities and work effectively as a team player.
