Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has an opening for a Sr. Marketing Representative, Outreach Sales Representative in the Department of Pathology.

The Outreach Sales Representative is responsible for business development, process improvement, and leadership in the daily activities of field staff. Effectively represents both the clinical and anatomical divisions of Cedars Sinai Health System Pathology Department to outside organizations and entities and securing contracts for the provision of laboratory services for their patients. Consistently provides service which anticipate and or exceed customer expectations in terms of quantity, quality, cost and delivery requirements. The sales representative provides input to the Sales Manager, takes a leadership role in special projects to promote new business development and assists in planning and strategy for market growth and maintenance of existing business, Under the direction of the Sales Manager plans, schedules and oversees resource utilization with attention to controlling costs and maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies. Performs all job duties with sensitivity and attention to the age and developmental issues of the patient population being served.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor degree required. Preferably in Biological Sciences or Medical Technology.

Experience:

Progressive experience in clinical laboratory sales or related healthcare or medical industry required. Demonstrated effective leadership to motivate, develop, teach, evaluate performance and promoted collaborative team efforts. Demonstrated flexibly and initiative to effectively lead change efforts to respond to environment and organizational changes. Superior interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated significant knowledge of the clinical laboratory industry including relevant regulatory and compliance issues, operational logistics and customer relations. Full command of the English language (verbal and written). Demonstrated technical expertise in both Clinical and Anatomical pathology services. Practical knowledge of computer operations.

Physical Demands:

Frequent driving, sitting, standing, walking, bending and lifting of materials up to 25 lbs for distances to 10 feet. Responsiveness to auditory alarms and communication devices including: telephones, pagers, fire alarms, mechanical failure alarms, Visual acuity acceptable for performing duties. Sufficient mobility to drive, access equipment and customers.
