Cedars-Sinai Research Lab Assistant I - Giani Lab in Los Angeles, California
Summary of Essential Duties:
Participates in various research activities conducted by the Giani lab, performs a variety of tasks to support research projects, including project planning, experimental protocols and procedures, and administration of day-to-day lab operations.
Contributes to grant proposals, publications and presentation for own and lab's research projects.
Helps with mouse genotyping , blood pressure analysis and analysis of renal function in mice.
Helps with mouse colony maintenance.
Grasp of existing and emerging information in field.
Competent performance of research techniques.
Appropriate data analysis/interpretation. Good reasoning ability, critical evaluation of literature
Undergraduate degree in science or several years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of PI's area of research specialization, in addition to own related research projects.
Current knowledge of new research techniques and protocols by reading scientific literature and attending scientific meetings.
Able to sit for several hours at a time at a computer; Extensive keyboard work; Repetitive actions
