The Research Associate II in Dr. Barrett's lab will be a significant addition to the team and must be driven, organized, and able to work both individually and as part of a team.
This position will involve maintenance of numerous induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines and their subsequent differentiation into human intestinal organoids. These organoids will then be used in a range of assays to assess their responses to various cytokines and microbes. This position will require significant amounts of cell culture along with tissue sectioning, immunohistochemistry, microscopy, western blot analysis, and qtPCR.
Excellent written and oral communication, and coordination of experiments and preparation of data for publication will be expected.
Participation in laboratory meetings, keeping laboratory notebooks, performing calculations, tabulating data, summarizing methods and results of related experiments.
Order supplies and maintain inventory, prepare culture media, maintain general lab cleanliness and perform other work-related duties as assigned.

- Minimum of a BS or BA in a biological science or related field
Minimum of two (2) years of laboratory experience
Understanding of general research objectives
Familiar with routine laboratory procedures, experimental protocols, and overall lab organization
Highly motivated and able to work independently
Superior interpersonal, communication, and organization skills and the ability to work across company disciplines and functional units, and computer application experience
Must possess computer skills to include, but not limited to, Excel and Word Ability to simultaneously manage multiple clerical trials, and attention to details
Scheduling flexibility to include evening, weekend, and holiday rotation commitment is required
Travel may be required
