Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Outpatient Orthopaedic Center has an opening for a Registered Nurse, Part Time. The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. The Registered Nurse consistently demonstrates professional skills and abilities, utilizes his/her knowledge base and proficient skills to direct and supervise the clinical performance of others in the role of collegial consultant and resource person. Demonstrates motivation and creativity and serves as a catalyst for effective changes within the Nursing at the unit service line and institutional levels. Applies clinical knowledge regarding standard pattern of care to consolidate interventions for time and cost savings. May assume responsibility for patient advocacy, patient rights and meeting customer's expectation; Acts as liaison for assessing patient referrals, directing pts to the appropriate surgeon, and respond to website inquiries. The position needs are primarily Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, alternating Friday’s a needed. Note: All External Hires must successfully pass a background check, a prohibited substance screening, and a pre-employment physical.
Education Certifications/Licensure Experience Physical Abilities Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
Valid California RN License, American Heart Association BLS required. Nationally recognized specialty certification preferred.
5 years acute experience preferred, 2 years Ortho experience preferred. Additional experience, includes triaging calls and knowledge of different insurance coverages. This position will not have direct patient care responsibilities.
