Cedars-Sinai Registered Nurse - OR Training Program in Los Angeles, California

Perioperative Nursing is an exciting and rewarding

area of nursing that requires nurses to have highly specialized knowledge and

skills to provide comprehensive care to patients during the intraoperative

period. The program is designed to provide Registered Nurses from other

specialties with an understanding of the operating room nurse’s role and

responsibilities. Participants will learn the theoretical concepts, principles

and skills of Perioperative nursing based on the standards and recommended

practices established by Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN).

ProgramBeginning January 7, 2019

The OR Training Program consists of six months of

didactic and preceptored training.

You will complete OR clinical coursework, training

modules, hands-on lab experience, and actively participate at OR rotations.

Requirementsinclude :

BSN

or MSN Degree from an accredited nursing program, current CA RN license,

American Heart Association BCLS. A

minimum 1 years recent acute RN experience.

Internal applicants must have been in the CN II role for 1 year. Must

commit to working in OR for at least 18 months after the training.
