O.R. has an immediate
opening for a Registered Nurse who will assume responsibility and
accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of
patient care for the O.R. patient population.
Youprovide and document direct and indirect patient care services that ensurethe safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients.
Youprovide patient education on disease prevention and restorative measures.
Youprovide administration of medications and therapeutic agents necessary toimplement the treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plan ofcare.
Youperform skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy and the initiation ofperipheral venous access.
Youobserve and assess signs and symptoms of illness, reactions tomedications/treatments, general behavior, and/or general physicalcondition to determine normal versus abnormal characteristics and initiateemergency procedures when indicated.
Youplan and implement care based on observations, implementing appropriatereporting, referrals and care in accordance with standardized procedureswhile providing care to special patient populations and patients withdivers cultural backgrounds.
Youidentify patients' readiness for learning and their ability to followdirections/instructions and give consent while identifying and assessingpatient safety concerns with respect to age and developmentalconsiderations.
Youintervene to provide a safe environment and evaluates effectiveness ofintervention for patients.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN orhigher preferred.
Current California State RN License required
American Heart Association BCLS.
National Specialty Certification required.
Minimum 3 years recent acute OR RN experience. Note:(minimum 1 year recent acute RN experience will be considered forRegistered Nurse II)
Working knowledge of applicable Standards of Practice.
Demonstrates a dedication to customer service and anability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health carecolleagues.
Meets clinical criteria and protocol for Clinical Nurseassigned level.
