These centers and programs provide patient centered care and state-of-the-art diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical procedures. Summary of Essential Job Duties: The Clinician II, a Registered Nurse, serves in a leadership role and delivers direct patient care to assigned population. Demonstrates independence in assessing patient care needs and learning needs on routine and complex adult and geriatric patients to develop plan of care. Plans care and education based on disease process and desired patient outcomes. Ensures continuity of services provided to patients across all healthcare settings, utilizing protocols and/or clinical pathways, as appropriate.
Education Certifications/Licensure Experience Physical Abilities Educational Requirements:
Active RN license in the State of California
A current BLS certification from the AHA
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred
Competency in intravenous skills and vascular access device management
A minimum of 2 years of experience in Oncology nursing
Physical Demands: (e.g., lifting, standing, walking)
Ability to lift materials and boxes under 20 pounds.
Frequent need for adequated pitch and volume. Frequent need for auditory perception and acuity.
Equipment: Venous Access Devices, Infusion Pumps. Medical Accessories (i.e. blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, etc.) Computer, Telephone, Fax Machine
