The Clinical Nurse II, under the direction of the of Assistant Nurse Manager, performs a variety of tasks specific to the needs of the patient population at the Comprehensive Transplant Center.
You will assist the Assistant Nurse Manager in the Hepatobiliary Program with coordination of patient care, retrieval of diagnostic work-up, data entry into CS-Link.
Serves as a patient advocate in the program.
Provides nursing care consistent with Nursing Standards of Care/Practice, the Plan for Provision of Nursing Care, and the Plan for Provision of Care to Patients, CSMC Code of Conduct, the Performance Improvement Plan, the Patient Education Plan and Nursing Strategic Plan.
Maintains competency skills including the ability to provide care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds.
Identify the ability of the adolescent, adult and geriatric patients to follow direction/instructions and give consent.
Identify safety concerns and institute measures to provide a safe environmental and provide appropriate assessment, intervention and evaluation of patients with consideration of developmental milestones in the adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population.
A minimum of 2 (two) years of Acute Care nursing experience required
Experience in Med Surg, ICU or Transplant Floor preferred
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current California RN license
Current BLS from American Heart Association
Must be able to perform assigned duties in a demanding work environment
Exposure to normal office and clinic area noise
Sitting, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
