Cedars-Sinai Medical Center's Observation Unit has an opening for a Registered Nurse.
Since the new 23-bed Observation unit opened as a pilot program in March 2014, it has been an extraordinary success story. The unit has served both Observation patients and those being triaged into the unit from the Emergency Department, with a focus on patients with expected stay of 48 hours or less.
The unit expanded and in November 2016 moved to a larger 28-bed location. This is the ideal clinical environment for an Registered Nurse who wants to use their experience to help improve processes while serving as a patient advocate. Positions available for l2hrs shifts.

BSN preferred, Graduate from an accredited nursing program required
Graduate from an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred. Current CA RN license, American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, ACLS. Specialty certification preferred.
IV therapy and at least 3 years acute RN Telemetry experience. Specialty certification preferred, Five (5) years or more recent acute care RN experience to include 3yrs Telemetry or ICU/PCU RN experience, Experience with computerized documentation systems is a must! Experience with acting in charge nurse role required.
Physical Demands: (e.g., lifting, standing, walking)
The physical ability and perceptive acuity to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions. Must be able to access files and supplies located at floor level up to maximum of 6 feet. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs. Weill work in highly visible, very active environment.
