Responsibilities include assuming responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. The Registered Nurse III, Critical Care as a professional practitioner, assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. The Registered Nurse III, Critical Care consistently demonstrates professional skills and abilities, utilizes her/his knowledge base and proficient skills to direct and supervise the clinical performance of others in the role of collegial consultant and resource person. She/He demonstrates motivation and creativity and serves as a catalyst for effective changes within Nursing at the unit, service line and institutional levels. The Registered Nurse III, Critical Care provides nursing care consistent with Nursing Standards of Care & Practice, the Plan for Provision of Nursing Care, The Plan for Provision of Care to Patients Note: All External Hires must successfully pass a background check, a prohibited substance screening and a pre-employment physical.
Education Certifications/Licensure Experience Physical Abilities Requirements include graduate from an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred. Current CA RN license, American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, ACLS, IV therapy and at least 3 years recent acute RN Telemetry experience. National specialty certification (i.e. CMSRN or PCCN).
