Cedars-Sinai Project Assistant - Inpatient Specialty Program in Los Angeles, California

The Project Assistant supports the Director of the Office of Care Transitions, Associate Medical Director of ISP, Assistant Medical Directors of ISP, and Program Manager of the Office of Care Transitions through effective administration of special projects and support functions. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining department performance metrics, research, report and presentation development, meeting and event coordination, and other administrative duties as needed.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project and event coordination as assigned by the Program Manager of the Office of Care Transitions.

  • Assist in collecting, entering, analyzing and preparing data.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining monthly department presentations, reports and dashboards.

  • Manage the Assistant Medical Directors’ calendars, which will include schedules meetings, securing rooms when appropriate.

  • Responsible for coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes and following up on action items.

  • Assist in the execution of certain legal documents as needed.

  • Perform administrative duties such as answering and triaging phone calls, sending/receiving emails, printing, faxing, scanning and compiling documents.

  • Assist management with other special projects and functions as necessary (i.e.: organizing a staff retreat, preparing for a seminar, supporting performance improvement initiatives, etc.)

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Business or Healthcare related field of study preferred.

Experience:

  • Two to three (2-3) years of related experience.

  • Excellent writing, reading comprehension, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to compose letters and narrative reports. Ability to coordinate complex statistical reports, charts and exhibits into a complete document suitable for publication and distribution.

  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with managers, directors, and physicians.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and use of the internet.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple tasks frequently with short timelines, to prioritize and coordinate work, to complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
