What will you be doing in this role?

The Program Manager is responsible for developing and organizing programs

for the Capacity Command Center to support Cedars-Sinai’s strategic direction.

  • Independently plan and effectively manage all aspects ofprojects or sub-projects of the larger program, including but not limited to;leading, project planning, tracking, reporting and managing any necessaryvendor relationships as appropriate while maintaining program endeavors thatsupport the strategic goals of the program and the broader organization.

  • Provide leadership and direction for day-to-day programoperations and administrative activities.

  • Serve and protect the hospitalcommunity by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies andprocedures, federal, state and local requirements and accreditingbodies.

Essential job duties include:

  • Develop and manage the overall program vision, approach, objectives, and key deliverables;identifies and tracks key measures of success.

  • Develop comprehensive plan incorporating deliverables, resource needs,milestones, accountabilities, communication plan, and timelines.

  • Provide regular status updates to ensure deliverables are on track and allcompany standards are followed.

  • Contributes to thestrategic planning, design, development and implementation of programobjectives, procedures, processes and standards.

  • Oversees and manages program and lead day-to-day program operations andadministration.

  • May manage staff.

  • Serves as primary resource for data reporting, data analysis, and datainterpretation to key stakeholders and senior leadership with summarized trendsand progress to goals on standard cadence. Researches and analyzes data frominternal and external sources.

  • Drives complexproject management through effective management of budget, schedule, scope,quality, issue and risk. Accountable for project communications, milestonetracking, resource planning, financials, risk assessment, contingency planning,escalation, and resolution of critical issues to project sponsor/owners.

  • Works effectivelywith business partners, vendors and staff to develop the program and ensureagreement/adoption of program objectives/deliverables by affectedconstituencies through proactive communication and dynamic partnerships. Worksto identify cross-organizational interdependencies and ensure appropriateintegration. Effectively manages clientexpectations and resource requirements to ensure ownership and success.

  • Interfaces with otherdepartments and leaders across the organization and other partners in theadministration of the program. Identifies and defines any logistics, actionitems, or information needed to maintain operations.

  • Identifies growth opportunities and further efficienciesthat impact the program and/or departments success and aids in development ofstrategic plans to achieve objectives.

  • Aligns and leads cross-organizational resources.

  • Plans, develops, coordinates, and organizes resources to meet program objectives.

  • May lead cross-functional teams in the administration, maintenance or expansion of the program.


  • Bachelors degree in healthcare leadership, management, business or related field.

  • 3-7 years of experience in healthcare operations.

  • 2 years of prior management experience including leadership coaching and mentoring.

  • Knowledgeableand proficient in the use of health care technology within specialty area.

  • Demonstratedsuccess working independently, forging relationships, and managing multipletasks with minimal directions.

  • Abilityto analyze qualitative and quantitative information for decision support.

  • Highlevel of proficiency using Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word).

  • Must be able to manage competing priorities, while being extremely adaptable and flexible and maintaining a positive work environment.

  • Working knowledge of Nursing Practice Act, The Joint Commission and other state and local regulatory requirements.
