Cedars-Sinai PGY2-Pharmacist Administrative Resident in Los Angeles, California

Job Posting: PGY2-Pharmacist Administrative Resident Summary of Essential Job Duties: The resident will receive a one year training in health-system pharmacy administration. He/She will serve as a member of the CSMC Pharmacy Administration team and participate in planning, development, implementation and evaluation of programs and services. They will exercise leadership and problem-solving skills through participation in departmental and organizational initiatives. The PGY-2 HSPA resident will also serve as the Pharmacy Administrator on-call in order to master managing pharmacy operations and human resources. Additionally, the Resident will develop teaching skills by serving as a preceptor for pharmacy practice residents and students. The Resident will develop a commitment to improving pharmacy practice through presentations at state and national meetings and contributions to pharmacy publications. Educational Requirements: The applicant must be a graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. License/Certification/Registration Requirements: Candidates must be eligible for licensure in California and resident is expected to be licensed by September of the residency year. Experience: Candidates should have completed aPGY1 residency or have a minimum of 2 years of hospital experience. Physical Demands: (e.g., lifting, standing, walking) Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, occasional sitting, pushing & pulling, lifting of materials up to 40 pounds for distances to 10 feet.
