Cedars-Sinai Patient Service Representative II - Liver Transplant - Full-Time (Day Shift) in Los Angeles, California

Summary of Essential Job Duties:

Provides administrative support to the Hepatobiliary Surgery/Liver Transplant Surgical teams. Demonstrates initiative, resourcefulness and problem-solving skills in applying detailed knowledge of the responsibilities. Receive and triage phone calls in a timely manner.

Essential duties include but are not limited to :

  • Answering phone calls from patients, scheduling patient appointments, filing, faxing, calling patients to remind them of their appointments.

  • Prepping patient charts for clinic, gathering clinical reports for doctor/coordinator review, data collection, database entry, scan records into the database, and upload records into CS-Link.

  • Must have excellent and clear communication skills (oral and written).

  • Must be able to follow up on tasks until completed and update the team.

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast pace environment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.

  • Bachelor's Degree or two years of college education preferred.

  • Medical business office experience preferred.

License/Certification Requirements:

N/A

Experience:

  • Two years of experience in a medical office setting/scheduling of patients required.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks frequently with short timelines, prioritize and organize work and complete assignments in a timely, accurate manner.

  • Problem-solving ability is essential.

  • Ability to establish priorities and work independently.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Basic understanding of medical terminology.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook required.
