Cedars-Sinai Management Assistant II - Gastroenterology in Los Angeles, California

As a Management Assistant II in the Department of Gastroenterology, you will provide administrative support for the Medical Director and the monthly Clinical Practice Council.

In this role, you are responsible for coordinating all administrative activities of the office. If you are highly organized with strong business writing skills and can effectively manage complex calendars, this could be a great opportunity.

Responsibilities include:

•Maintains the department/unit's calendar, schedules appointments and meetings (coordinating meeting rooms, contacting attendees, ensuring that the required informational materials and equipment are provided), and makes travel arrangements for staff including large scale research symposiums.

•Establishes and maintains electronic and hard-copy filing systems for the department/unit.

•Screen and prioritize routine and non-routine phone calls and routes inquiries to other levels as appropriate.

•Composes meeting minutes and routine business correspondence.

•May prepare financial, business, or related reports, involving simple mathematical calculations and formatting; pulling from files, the HR/Payroll system, and other internal databases.

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Diploma highly preferred


  • Minimum 2 years of office and administrative experience required

  • Prior office and administrative experience in a healthcare setting preferred

  • Must

possess a minimum computer competency comprised of a working knowledge of

Windors or comparable system (specifically including keyboarding and mouse


  • Must additionally possess a

working knowledge of basic word processing. E-mail browser and on-line internet


Physical Demands:

  • Employee must be able to sit in front of a computer approximately 90% of their scheduled day to perform clerical and administrative functions.

  • Lifting up to 15lbs safely, standing, and walking as needed.
