Job Posting: POSITION SUMMARY: The Financial Management Analyst serves as a department liaison to the Cedars-Sinai Health System through the Principal Investigator and Financial Manager. This position is responsible for post award administration of externally sponsored awards, philanthropic support, and pharmaceutical funded research projects. Manages and communicates financial information to Cedars-Sinai's research community and General Accounting as well as external funding agencies. Assigned research portfolio and is expected to research, plan, and complete assignments with minimal guidance and supervision. Also conducts review and analysis, and interpretation of award terms and conditions; prepares invoices and financial reports, reviews transactions and expenditures, and generates cost transfers. Has general understanding of federal grant management policies and regulations governing sponsored agreements, specifically the OMB Circulars. Must demonstrate flexibility and initiative to learn subject matter areas and be willing to be a part of a team or as an individual on implementation and enhancement of business process improvements. Required to have knowledge in the routine features and functions of the PeopleSoft Grant Accounting suite. Education Certifications/Licensure Experience Physical Abilities Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or comparable level of education and experience.
3-4 years of Accounting experience with strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
Prior Post Award research administration experience is preferred.
Must be able to communicate to individuals in varying levels effectively in writing and verbally. Computer skills and experience, primarily in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point
Knowledge of PeopleSoft Grant Accounting Suite.

Physical ability and perceptive acuity to perform functions.
Routine office environment with prolonged sitting, telephone use, typing, and keyboarding.
Able to travel to various locations on campus to meet with other personnel as requested.
Able to maneuver on tight spaces, to bend, reach, and stoop.
Frequent sitting, standing and walking and bending; extensive use of office equipment, such as computers, scanners, cameras and phones; occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds for distances to 10 feet.
Responsiveness to auditory alarms and communicating devices including telephones, beepers, fire alarms, mechanical failure alarms.
