What will you be doing in this role?
As a per diem Department Assistant in our MRI/Imaging area at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, you will be working closely with the MRI Technologists to assist in maintaining workflow and maximizing dept efficiency. Includes transporting patients to and from the medical center, getting outpatients changed and ready for their MRI, walking patients to and from the scanners and helping to position on the scanner. Will also be responsible to maintain clean rooms and help with inventory. Will participate in MR safety and assure that patients and the area are always MRI safe.
The department is open 24/7 and shifts are based on the department's needs with rotations on all shifts. Expect to work weekends, evenings and graveyard. Must be organized, have attention to details, listen and communicate well. Demonstrates aptitude to learn new processes and specialized equipment.
Must work with a high level of engagement within a very busy team.
Note: shifts and hours vary based on department needs. Most shifts will be evenings (afternoons) with some nights and rotating weekends.
This role is not a stepping stone to an MRI Technician position
High School. Prefer some college
Prefer experience in healthcare environment
lifting, standing, moving, transporting patients
