Job Summary:


general supervision, independently provides an intermediate level of

operational and application build expertise in completing routine and

occasionally more complex assignments to meet customer goals and desired

outcomes. Task and assignment focus is typically on medium to large projects,

performing workflow analysis, build, and documentation in collaboration with

internal and external team members.

Job Responsibilities (the scope of responsibility, departmentand position levels including knowledge and practice of the clinical/technical skillsnecessary to the position):

  1. Performs intermediate level design, build and implementationassignments/ projects. Based on core knowledge of application and operationalrequirements can translate requirement/concepts into functionality.

  2. May initiate, facilitate or lead meetings with end-user/business ownerand other EIS teams

  3. Demonstrates independence and participation in team projects:translating customer needs, meeting deliverables, status reporting, andmanaging customer relationships and expectations.

  4. Assigned to various work/projects and demonstrates an ability tosuccessfully complete assigned tasks/assignments, proactively communicate withmanager to prioritize workflow and mitigate risks, track issues and providesolution oriented escalation, and understand project management methodologies.

  5. Gathers, designs,and develops detailed specifications and participates incorporating clinical,business and technical requirements

  6. Utilizes clinicaland operational expertise to ensure team deliverables support the delivery ofsafe and efficient care.

  7. Demonstrates collaboration within and across application teams.

  8. Escalates work issues to Team Lead or Manager as needed

  9. Participates in re-engineering of operational work-flow processes withend-users/business owners, and maintains working level understanding ofassigned departmental operations

  10. Facilitates end-user/business owner needs into system specifications andconfiguration requirements.

  11. Demonstrates technical proficiency in assigned application area.Independently manages navigation of migration paths, change controlprocess/governance, and ticket management processes.

  12. Provides high-level understanding of design integration and touch pointswith other Epic modules and/or other applications.

  13. Represents application team on work groups within the department orwithin project scope.

  14. Attends and represents unit on various Epic related committees (CCB,SFWG, OCD)

  15. Maintains high standards for quality application design, build, testing,and other tasks; ensures adequate documentation is provided for support andend-user training. Manage and coordinate intermediate to advanced configurationand build assignments/projects in collaboration with others.

  16. Provides on-call support during off hours

  17. As needed, participates in new employee interviews and the on-boardingprocess.

  18. Willbe assigned as needed to train new and junior team members.

Educational requirements and/orpreferences (Licensure, Registration,

Certification, Experience, Other):

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.

  • Typically requires 2-4 years of relevant work experience.Prefer experience working with healthcare information management systems and/orclinical operations experience. Some project management experience preferred.
