Summaryof Essential Job Duties:

The Community Benefit Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Specialist

serves as the lead point of contact for outcomes dashboards for programs

focused on improving the health of vulnerable populations. The MEL Specialist

manages the data which informs a systems-level framework and strategy for

Cedars-Sinai’s directed community benefit programs. The position requires

close partnership with Cedars-Sinai’s signature community health improvement

program managers. The MEL specialist requires professional initiative to

build a new function imbedded in Cedars-Sinai’s community benefit systems and

planning team.

Responsibilities

include, but are not limited to:

  • Utilizing skills in project managements to lead complexcross-functional change process

  • tracking program metrics and utilizing data platforms, forexample, SPSS, REDcap, eClinicalWorks, EPIC and Excel

  • providing technical assistance to program managers on buildingdata collection methods and reporting

  • cleaning data and troubleshooting data collection and reportingissues

  • analyzing data to formulate insights, findings and strategicrecommendations

  • measuring key areas of effectiveness

  • providing improvement recommendations

  • coordinating and designing ongoing reports for all levels ofmanagement

  • exploring research-oriented questions

QualificationRequirements/Preferences:

Bachelor's Degree required; Masters’ Degree preferred

Experience:

Minimum three to five years professional experience

Experience with statistical software and other data management systems

Expertise in clinical and research data analysis

Ability to provide and present recommendations based on data results

Ability to build data infrastructure

Ability to problem-solve data issues

Exceptional interpersonal skills

A

collaborative style and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels

Outstanding

written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently in a deadline oriented team environment required

Exposure to Tableau
