Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has immediate 12 hr -DAY SHIFT openings for a Career Float CN III - with prior experience in Critical Care & PCU.
The Nursing Resources Division utilizes Career Float Staff to supplement staffing throughout the Medical Center based on need. As a member of the Career Float team, you will enjoy the opportunity to work in a variety of specialty settings while also being a vital team member of the Nursing Resources home department. Career Float RN’s assume responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and direct/ indirect delivery of patient care.
Career Floats consistently demonstrate professional skills and abilities, utilize his/her knowledge base and proficient skills to direct and supervise the clinical performance of others in the role of collegial consultant and resource person. As a Career Float CN III, you are expected to demonstrate motivation, creativity and serve as a catalyst for effective changes within the Nursing at the unit, division, and organizational levels. CNIII’s apply clinical knowledge regarding standard patterns of care to consolidate interventions for time and cost savings. Assume responsibility for patient advocacy, patient rights and meeting customer's expectations. Maintain competency skills including the ability to interact with customers with diverse cultural backgrounds.

Education Certifications/Licensure Experience Physical Abilities Educational Requirements:
-Bachelors Degree in Nursing – strongly preferred
-California State RN License required
-BCLS and ACLS certification required
-PALS certification required for RNs floated to certain designated units
-Certification/License: Specialty Certification required
-3 years or more RN acute care experience required AND experience in two or more nursing specialty areas.
-Meets specialty specific clinical competencies for assigned clinical nurse level and specialties
-Working knowledge of applicable Standards of Practice.
-Demonstrates a commitment to excellence in customer service and an able to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues. Outstanding communication skills, professionalism and adaptability.
-Full command (verbal and written) of the English language.
Min. Physical Requirements with or without reasonable accommodation:

-Manual finger dexterity and fine motor skills with eye-hand coordination
-Frequent standing, walking, twisting (trunk, neck), bending (waist), flexing/extending/stretching (extremities and trunk)
