Job Summary:

Under minimal to no supervision, independently

responsible for more complex analysis, documentation of business requirements,

testing and validation in support of requests for Epic data/queries.

Participates with the project teams and end users to develop and recommend

design options. High degree of knowledge of core reporting support activities

and practices. Task and assignment focus is typically on larger projects,

performing business requirements

documentation for complex reports, quality assurance/testing with the report

developers and end user support.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Triages intake of data requestsand seek understanding of business need.

  2. Applies knowledge of healthcareand critical thinking skills in the analysis of business request. Makesrecommendations for solution/s to solve challenges.

  3. Provides more complex report anddata analysis with the help of more senior team members, vendors, and/or otherEIS department contacts..

  4. Works closely with applicationteams to understand workflow, documentation standards and potential gaps. Makesrecommendations for closing gaps.

  5. Provides high level expertise togather concise requirements, interpretation of the findings and translation ofthe information into a documented business specification for report development

  6. Will facilitate, provide guidanceand advise on touch points with other Epic modules and/or other applications.

  7. Participates in re-engineering,as needed, operational work-flow processes with end-users/business owners.

  8. Fills in on various work/projectsin the absence of the Team Lead

  9. Works closely with reportdevelopers (including EDW and other reporting teams)to ensure understanding ofdata models and design of output.

  10. Will provide subject matter epxertise and training to end-usersand junior staff as needed

  11. Analyze new functionality within new application releases andimpact on reports.

  12. As needed, participates in new employee interviews and theon-boarding process.

Leads and evaluates process and requirements analysis, includingprocess mapping though current flow charts, documents, future needs/plans,requirement elicitation, stakeholder analysis, and specification gathering oncomplex projects. In addition, usingcurrent and projected data, provides recommendations.

  21. Applies advanced level understanding of assigned clinical/businessoperations, processes, and workflows; and accurately documents, discusses, andidentifies dependencies with project team members and stakeholders.

  22. Strong technical proficiency in Reporting Workbench and Radarbuild. Able to teach complex ReportingWorkbench and Radar build concepts. Ableto lead project level reporting activities for successful go lives. Ability to faciliate the communication ofreport design/strategy with requestors.Able to derive complex Clarity reporting, Reporting Workbench and Radarbuild strategy. Able to teach buildconcepts, epic migration paths, change control process/governance and ticketmanagement process to new team members. Demonstrate expertise in applicationspecific Clarity data models.

  23. Proactively promotes and adheres to EIS standards/protocols.Demonstrates expert understanding of all aspects IT, including systems,applications, operations, and support.

  24. Serves as the primary point of contact for vendor support andassistance for larger and more complex projects as well as in resolvingincreasingly complex or sensitive issues in assigned areas. Managesrelationship with external vendors.

  25. Reviews and provides feedback on documentation written byothers. Articulates issues and complexconcepts in appropriate manner based on the audience.

  26. Possesses the skill to develop strong and positive relationshipswith client management at all levels. Is respected by the client as an expertand end users demonstrate confidence in the individual. Expert in multiple applications andintegration areas.

  27. Provides clear and organized status reporting on key project areasto be used as external communications to stakeholders. Coordinates team membersto gather information and prepare organized, consistent, and accurate statusreporting

  28. Independently provides guidance and leadership on qualityassurance and testing initiatives.Demonstrates ability to lead team through complex integrated testingprocesses. Able to manage testingprojects as necessary.

  29. Contributes to strategy discussions by proactively identifyingoptions with associated pros and cons with EIS team members and others.

Typically requires 4years of relevant work experience. Strongly prefer experience working with

healthcare information management systems and clinical operations experience.

Project management experience required.

Educational requirements and/orpreferences:

Bachelor's degree in a

related field or equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and

training is required.
