Cedars-Sinai Jr Applications Analyst - Managed Care in Encino, California

The Junior Applications Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned systems and applications support. Provides services to various groups such as Eligibility, Utilization Management, Billing and Accounts Receivable Department, Claims, Referrals, and Managed Care Finance. Such services include reporting, application maintenance and day-to-day support.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains database integrity by following protocol for database additions and edits to provide required application functionality. Researches and solves application problems to maintain a viable system.

  • Maintains current in-depth knowledge of assigned IDX applications’ functionality and participates in system upgrades and testing.

  • Maintains dictionaries, tables, and other areas of IDX system.

  • Develops and documents policies and procedures as they relate to the IDX applications.

  • Documents system specifications, training instructions and reporting requirements.

  • Works closely with EIS Personnel on EIS-related projects and management of software vendors. Provides Help Desk support for IDX application issues.

  • Fosters two-way communication within department and with end-users.

  • Assists with month-end procedures as needed.

  • Creates ad-hoc reports, using both IDX and the Data Warehouse, as requested.

  • Ensures and validates accuracy and quality or work performed.


High school diploma or GED required.


Two (2) years of experience includes understanding all detailed operational processes. Demonstrable ability to systematize operational processes utilizing analytical skills to accomplish goals. Experience with IDX or other similar patient information system desired.

Healthcare related office experience preferred.
