Cedars-Sinai Patient Service Representative, Internal Temporary Agency (Per Diem) in California

Agency Team. In this role, associates will transition throughout Cedars-Sinai
Medical Center to support departments with fulfilling temporary
clinical support such as answering phone calls from
patients, scheduling patient appointments, prepping patient charts for clinic,
gathering clinical reports for doctor/coordinator review, data collection,
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists clinical support staff including but not limited to the day-to-day work responsibilities in the office and clinic. Schedules patientappointments, coordinates procedures/testing with outside departments and ancillary services, expert understandingof authorizations according to guidelines/workflows by providing requireddocumentation, monitors daily patient schedule, places reminder calls, andidentifies “no shows” for rescheduling.
Consistently answers telephones, takes complete and accurate messages, triage information and relays to appropriate party to support operational aspects of patient care.
- High School Diploma/GED.Bachelor's Degree or two years of college education with medical business office experience preferred.
- Two (2) years experience in a medical office setting/scheduling of patients preferred.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Ability to handle multiple tasks frequently with short-time lines, prioritize and organize work, and complete assignments in a timely, accurate manner.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of medical terminology.Strong computer skills.
