Cedars-Sinai Radiation Therapist in Beverly Hills, California

Administer radiation treatments to cancer patients; Verification of treatment plans & Quality Checklist; Documentation of treatment, daily and weekly linear accelerator QA, portal images, and CBCT; Scans patient into the system utilizing the bar-coded “Orange Card” prior to treatment. Coordinates and schedules patients in Mosaiq system; Notifies appropriate person of EPIC scheduling changes; Follows physicians prescription and carries out all instructions; Verifies mathematical accuracy of treatment prescription; Detects equipment malfunction, troubleshoots and reports problem to appropriate person; Demonstrates appropriate medical knowledge when caring for patients with urgent/emergent patients; Demonstrates effective time management; proactively assists other team members to meet teamwork goals.Educational Requirements:

•California Therapeutic Radiologic Technology License

Experience:

•Knowledge of record and verify computer programs

•Knowledge of treatment and imaging systems

•Expertise in all of the various forms of treatment procedure

Licenses/Certifications:

•California Therapeutic Radiologic Technology License & BLS card by American Heart Association

Physical Demands:

Normal physical requirements for routine administrative responsibilities carried out at a desk.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Must be able to bend, reach, lift patients (with assistance) to and from treatment tables, stand sit or walk for extended periods of time
