Cedars-Sinai Physician Assistant - Orthopedics in Beverly Hills, California
Physician Assistant will be supporting a busy Total Joints Orthopaedic Surgeon.
The practice will consist of outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, including but not limited to, rounding on patients in the Medical Center and assisting in surgery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.Administers or orders diagnostic tests and interprets test results for deviations from normal.Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens.Assists surgeon in operation room procedures including cleaning, retracting, providing hemostasis, suturing.
Completion and graduate of master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Valid CA licensure
Valid DEA registration
Certification by the National Commission of Physician Assistant, Licensure by the State of California
BLS from the American Heart Association
ACLS from the American Heart Association
Two years Physician Assistant experience in a relevant clinical area, e.g., Orthopedics, General Surgery, Reconstructive Surgery, or other surgical specialties or equivalent combination of education and experience.
