Do you work well in a large team environment where critical thinking is essential?

As a Pharmacist at the Medical Network Foundation, you will assist in evaluation of drug therapies, development of treatment plans, initiation, titration/tapering and discontinuation of medications under protocol, ordering necessary lab tests under protocol, patient education and follow-up.

Education:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree required

Licenses/Certification/Registration Requirements:

  • Current pharmacy licensure in the State of California.

  • Current eligibility to obtain and NPI and a DEA number.

Experience:

  • ASHP accredited residency in Primary Care or equivalent experience.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology as related to drug usage.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of common disease states and pathologies and ability to apply current pharmacological and biopharmaceutical principles.

  • You will have the ability to comprehend patient medical management plans.

  • Ability to extract pertinent information from the patient or other sources and relate it to the medical management plan.

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • You will serve as preceptor for teaching/training program.

  • Ability to give advice on and monitor the use of drugs in medical emergencies.

  • Knowledge of laws, regulations and standards relative to Institutional Pharmacy practice and prescription dispensing.

  • Ability to prioritize workflow.

  • Ability to recommend, develop, and expand programs and services to meet the therapeutic needs of the patients.

  • Ability to learn and adapt to the use of automated information systems in daily practice.

  • You will demonstrated competency in pharmaceutical calculations and pharmacokinetics.
